This safari combines a few nights at one of Botswana's best safari camps with time spent at a comfortable mobile camp, in a private reserve and led by a private guide.

Guides

Whilst at Kwara Camp, activities will be led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide accompanied by a tracker. They will venture off-road and stay out longer than usual when tracking interesting encounters.

During your stay at in the private Santantadibe reserve your guide is Grant Truthe, who was born and bred in Botswana, hast vast knowledge of the area, speaks the local language fluently and has been guiding for almost 20 years.

Kwara Camp

Kwara has eight large, comfortable en-suite tents built under a grove of African ebony trees with big shaded verandas and outdoor showers. All are raised onto individual wooden platforms. The lounge and dining area overlooks a lagoon where water levels fluctuate with the season.

Santantadibe Mobile Camp

Whilst in your exclusive mobile safari camps, you'll stay in spacious walk-in 3 x 3 metre dome tents, with comfortable stretcher-beds, bedrolls, bed linen and duvets. Each tent will also be furnished with a small side table and reading lamp. Private canvas hand basins are set up outside each tent.

There is a separate enclosure with a bucket shower that is filled with water at your chosen temperature when needed, and a second enclosure with a short-drop covered with a proper toilet seat.

A large marquee tent with sides that can be rolled up provides shade and sheltered dining in the unlikely event of rain. Two camp assistants take on all the camp chores, allowing you the undivided attention of the guide as you explore the area. The camp chef prepares tasty, fresh, three-course meals over the fire; dinners are served at a candle-lit table set with linen, crockery and glasses, with a choice of red or white wines.

Activity timings are all flexible depending on the interests and priorities of your group. If something exciting crops up you can stay with it for as long as you need. Activities might include walking safaris, fishing and bird watching trips, canoeing excursions (depending on water levels), and 4WD safaris including spotlit night drives depending on the area.

Vehicles

The vehicles used on these safaris are custom-made open 4WD's created for optimal game viewing.

Private Mobile Safari Camp team

The team is made up of a safari chef and camp assistants who are there to set up and break down camp and to carry out daily camp chores, helping to make your safari as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.
