Usual group size: min 2 / max 10 passengers

Luggage

The Moremi, Chobe & Victoria Falls Adventure has a rough luggage limit of 12kg per person. We recommend that you take comfortable, casual, wash and wear clothing. White and bright colours should be avoided. Your luggage should be packed into soft, squashable bags as these are easier for packing in the vehicles and on the light aircraft.

Costs

This comfortable camping safari to Botswana includes scheduled international flights, via Johannesburg; transport in a custom-built safari vehicle; accommodation; camping equipment; private campsite fees; park entrance fees; the services of a knowledgeable guide and usually three meals a day.

The only meals not included are lunch and dinner in Maun on Day 2, lunch and dinner in Livingstone on Day 11 and lunch on Day 12.

Drinks

All drinks with the exception of tea and coffee whilst in camp are at an extra cost. Your guide will carry a selection of drinks with you on safari and you can purchase anything you require from him or her. Drinks are to be paid for in US Dollars and we recommend you take a bundle of lower denomination notes with you when you travel for this. We will speak to you in advance regarding your preferred tipple so that we can ensure the guide has plenty in stock for your safari.

Torches

The mobile camps on the Moremi, Chobe & Victoria Falls Adventure will be lit by gas lamps and candles each evening. We strongly recommend that you take with you a good torch along with a spare battery which will let you read a book or catch up with your safari journal at night (head torches are very convenient). We suggest you spend a little money on this essential safari item to avoid a lot of potential frustration in the bush.

Laundry

A laundry service is not available on this safari. However, if you bring along your own washing powder a bucket and water can be made available to you should you wish to do a little hand washing during the holiday.

Special requests

If you have any dietary requirements, special requests medical conditions that you would like us to be aware of we ask that you tell us well in advance. A good way to do this is to note these in the 'Special Requests' box made available on the booking form.

Whist we cannot always guarantee a special request the safari operators and lodges will always try hard to help.

Charging batteries

Batteries can be charged using the vehicles 12V cigarette lighter. In order to use this you will need to bring your own adaptor. Whilst in Maun and Livingstone, standard plug outlets are available. Botswana and Zambia both use plugs with 3 large round pins - the same plug that is used in South Africa. It is relatively easy to find an adaptor for use in South Africa which would also work in Botswana and at Livingstone in Zambia.

Visa and passport requirements

The most recent information we have is that travellers on British, American, Australian and New Zealand passports do not require visas to travel through South Africa or Botswana. You will require a visa for Zambia. Visa fees for entering Zambia are currently US Dollars $50 per person for a single entry and US Dollars $80 for a multiple entry. The visa fee can be paid in US Dollars cash on arrival at Zambian immigration or arranged in advance at your nearest embassy or high commission.

The above notes are simply guidelines and should be taken as such. It remains your responsibility to double check these details with the nearest relevant embassy to you.

Wherever in Africa you travel to, your passport should be valid for at least six months from your travel date. You should also ensure that you will have at least 3 clear pages for each time that you pass through a country's customs and immigration. Please ensure that these are visa pages and not the pages for amendments and endorsements which are usually found towards the back of a passport.
