Summary of day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Take an overnight flight with South African Airways from Heathrow in London to Maun in Botswana.
Day 2 Rest after your flight at a delightful lodge overlooking the Thamalakane River on the outskirts of Maun.
Day 3 Enjoy a spectacular aerial view of the Okavango Delta on a 30-minute light aircraft flight to Moremi Game Reserve.
Day 4 Spend a full day searching out big game in the productive Xakanaxa area of Moremi with your knowledgeable safari guide.
Day 5 Wake early to try and spot big cats stalking their prey whilst it's still cool.
Day 6 Safari drive slowly towards Moremi's northeast border and Khwai, watching for Botswana's plentiful wildlife en route.
Day 7 Follow game drive tracks in the lovely Khwai region where tall evergreen trees line a wide floodplain.
Day 8 Cruise along lily-filled waterways by traditional canoe on a tranquil ride.
Day 9 A final game drive ends your Botswana safari and a light aircraft flight takes you to Maun in time for your flight to the UK.
