Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek on request.

Day 1 There's usually time to explore the curio stalls and cafes of Windhoek before your guide meets you to discuss your safari.
Day 2 Drive north to visit the Cheetah Conservation Fund which works to conserve Namibia's population of cheetah.
Day 3 Tonight's luxury campsite is on a private wildlife reserve on the eastern border of Namibia's Etosha National Park.
Day 4 Spend the day exploring Etosha with your safari guide, focusing on game sightings and busy waterholes.
Day 5 Game-drive across the park, stopping to enjoy spectacular views of the vast Etosha Pan and for any interesting wildlife.
Day 6 Head westwards into the attractive landscapes of Damaraland, stopping for an insightful cultural visit at a Himba village.
Day 7 Visit Twyfelfontein's rock art and other Damaraland attractions from your luxury mobile camp in the scenic Mowani foothills.
Day 8 Cross desert plains to the Skeleton Coast and on to the lovely seaside town of Swakopmund.
Day 9 Join an interactive boat cruise to see Namibia's rich marine life, such as dolphins and playful Cape fur seals.
Day 10 Traverse deeply incised canyons and the gravel plains of the Namib to your campsite at the edge of the desert.
Day 11 Rise before dawn to drive deep into the Namib Desert to see some of the world's highest dunes and stunning scenery.
Day 12 Drive back to Windhoek over the escarpment to arrive in time for your scheduled afternoon flight home.
