Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek on request.

Day 1 Arriving in the late morning means there is time to get over your flight - relax by the pool or explore Windhoek.
Day 2 Camp at the foot of a red Kalahari sand dune before walking across the interesting topography in search of desert animals.
Day 3 Explore a site of ancient fossils and a unique and photogenic forest of giant aloes.
Day 4 Walk along the rim of Namibia's vast Fish River Canyon, the second largest canyon of its kind in the world.
Day 5 Visit Luderitz before an adventure exploring a deserted diamond boom town being reclaimed by desert sands.
Day 6 Travel along the edge of the desert with picturesque vistas at every turn.
Day 7 View the world's oldest desert from the crest of a dune as the colours change in the early morning light.
Day 8 Travel back to Windhoek for a night in a bed and where you can enjoy a delicious meal with the camping group.
Day 9 Visit AfriCat - a conservation project dedicated to the survival of Namibia's cats, especially cheetah.
Day 10 Safari north to a camping site on the eastern boundary of Namibia's renowned wildlife destination, Etosha National Park.
Day 11 Adventure across Etosha, stopping at waterholes and the vast salt pan to watch an incredible variety of birds and animals.
Day 12 After a last wildlife safari you travel west to camp near a traditional village of Namibia's nomadic Himba people.
Day 13 Drive deep into scenic Damaraland to see a valley of Bushmen rock engravings at Twyfelfontein.
Day 14 Travel along the Skeleton Coast to visit Cape Cross seal colony before arriving at Namibia's adventure town of Swakopmund.
Day 15 After a morning of adventure at the coast, drive inland to Windhoek nearing the end of your Namibia camping adventure.
Day 16 Spend time exploring Windhoek and its cafes, shops and craft markets before your flight home.
