Summary of day-by-day itinerary

Day 1 Take an overnight flight from London to Namibia, via Johannesburg, with South African Airways.
Day 2 Spend a leisurely afternoon strolling through the centre of Windhoek or relaxing after your flight.
Day 3 A long drive through interesting landscape takes you to Etosha National Park for your first safari drive seeking wildlife.
Day 4 Drive through the game park, discovering interesting animal sightings and splendid views of the Etosha salt pan.
Day 5 Camp in Etosha National Park's camps where the wildlife viewing continues after night fall at a spot-lit waterhole.
Day 6 Travel into Namibia's little-visited Owamboland region, experiencing village life and the history of the area.
Day 7 Camp under lush palm forest beside the remote Kunene River near the Epupa Falls on Namibia's northern border.
Day 8 A guided walk along the river takes you to a nearby village where you learn a little of Himba culture and traditions.
Day 9 Pass through rocky desert scenery to the vast Palmwag reserve where there's time for a fascinating nature walk.
Day 10 Stop for lunch at a gallery of ancient bushman rock art before camping in the shade of Namibia's highest mountain.
Day 11 Visit Cape Cross seal colony on Namibia's Skeleton Coast on the way to the pleasant seaside town of Swakopmund.
Day 12 An active morning in Swakopmund is followed by a night camping deep in the Namibian desert.
Day 13 Drive through deeply incised canyons on the road to your campsite near the Namib's renowned Sossusvlei region.
Day 14 Rise before dawn to make the most of the soft morning like for magical photo opportunities of the tall desert dunes.
Day 15 Travel through more stunning scenery en route back to Windhoek which you reach in time for your flight home.
Day 16 Arrive home with memory cards full of amazing camping safari and Namibia desert photographs.
