Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek on request.

Day 1 Spend a leisurely afternoon strolling through the centre of Windhoek or relaxing after your flight.
Day 2 Overnight at the foot of the Waterberg Plateau which towers 400 metres above the surrounding plains.
Day 3 Drive through interesting landscapes to reach Etosha National Park for your first safari drive seeking wildlife.
Day 4 Drive across the game park, discovering interesting animal sightings and splendid views of the Etosha salt pan.
Day 5 Camp in Etosha National Park where the wildlife viewing continues after night fall at a spot-lit waterhole.
Day 6 Travel to Namibia's northwest and visit a Himba village where you gain an insight into their culture and traditions.
Day 7 Camp by a spring in a remote desert location where desert-adapted wildlife is often seen.
Day 8 Stop at Twyfelfontein, a gallery of ancient bushman rock art, before camping at the foot of Brandberg Mountain.
Day 9 Visit Cape Cross seal colony on Namibia's Skeleton Coast on the way to the pleasant seaside town of Swakopmund.
Day 10 Drive through deeply incised canyons en route to your campsite near the Namib Desert's renowned Sossusvlei region.
Day 11 Rise before dawn to make the most of the soft morning light for magical photo opportunities of Sossusvlei's tall desert dunes.
Day 12 Travel through more stunning scenery to return to Windhoek in time for your afternoon flight home.
