Usual group size: min 2 / max 14 passengers
For up to about seven passengers the safari will be conducted in one mini-bus with Orlando acting as your guide and driver. For between seven and fourteen passengers, the safari will be conducted in two mini-buses with Orlando as that head guide in one vehicle and a second, also very knowledgeable guide, in the other vehicle. There will be the opportunity for passengers to change vehicles during the safari in order to benefit from both guides' knowledge.
Age of travellers: min 12 / max 100 years old
Children from the age of 12 are welcome on the Namibia Football & Highlights Safari.
Language
The Namibia Football & Highlights Safari is conducted in English.
Costs
This safari to Namibia includes scheduled, overnight international flights between London and Windhoek with Air Namibia; transport in a mini-bus style safari vehicle; accommodation in guesthouses and lodges; park entrance fees; all activities as mentioned and usually three meals a day as specified in the itinerary.
Meals
Three meals are included on most days of this football safari to Namibia. The exception to this is dinner on Day 4 in Swakopmund and lunch and dinner on Day 5, also in Swakopmund.
Drinks
A complimentary stock of mineral water is always available to you on your safari vehicle. All other drinks will be at additional cost to you, payable locally.
Luggage
Luggage is limited to 15kg per person packed in a soft bag. In addition to this, we recommend you bring a small day pack to keep with you in the body of the vehicle to carry your camera and any books.
Tipping
Tipping is not compulsory. If, however, you want to tip because you have received good service, we recommend a discretionary UK Sterling GBP £5 per day per person for your safari guide. If, instead of tipping your safari guide, you would like to donate an amount towards the Football Academy in Damaraland that Orlando has begun, this offer would be most welcome. Monetary donations will go towards sports equipment, training gear and uniforms for the academy.
About 10% is normal in restaurants.
Passport & Visa information
You must have a valid passport together with onward travel documents in order to travel on safari. Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after your travel date and must include a minimum of 3 blank pages to take customs stamps. If you do not adhere to these requirements you may be denied entry to South Africa and Namibia.
It is our current understanding that travellers on a British, American, New Zealand or Australian passport do not need a visa for South Africa or Namibia. However, it remains your responsibility to double check the necessary requirements with the nearest relevant embassy or high commission in good time before you travel.
