Summary of day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Take a flight from Heathrow to Windhoek with South African Airways to begin your desert camping adventure.
Day 2 After arriving in Windhoek your afternoon is free to relax by the pool or explore the city center.
Day 3 Travel over the escarpment and down onto the desert plains, stopping to see a conservation project at work.
Day 4 Walk through the world's oldest desert and climb the world's highest dunes - a real highlight on this adventure through Namibia.
Day 5 Travel along the edge of the Namib Desert and take a deserted road to the remote Germanic town of Luderitz.
Day 6 Explore a ghost town and see Namibia's wild desert horses on the way to the remarkable Fish River Canyon.
Day 7 Explore and important fossil site and spend a night camping by a unique grove of giant aloe Quiver Trees.
Day 8 See the red linear sand dunes of the Kalahari and seek out some of the interesting wildlife that resides here.
Day 9 Return to Windhoek where you may enjoy a farewell dinner with your safari group.
