Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek on request.

Day 1 After arriving in Windhoek your afternoon is free to relax by the pool or explore the city center.
Day 2 See the red linear sand dunes of the Kalahari and seek out some of the interesting wildlife that resides here.
Day 3 Explore an important fossil site and a unique grove of giant aloe Quiver Trees, before camping by hot springs.
Day 4 Look into the depths of the Fish River Canyon before relaxing at a beautiful spot at the edge of the desert.
Day 5 Enjoy the seaside town of Luderitz, explore a ghost town and see Namibia's wild desert horses.
Day 6 Travel along the edge of the Namib Desert; one of Namibia's most scenic drives.
Day 7 Walk through the world's oldest desert and climb the world's highest dunes - a real highlight on this adventure through Namibia.
Day 8 Return to Windhoek where you may enjoy a farewell dinner with your safari group.
Day 9 Explore Windhoek city and buy any last minute souvenirs before your scheduled flight home.
