Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek/Walvis Bay on request.

Learn from specialist and expert guide, Steve Braine, as you travel through the remote and captivating Kaokoland region of Namibia on a unique and memorable safari.

The Specialist Kaokoland Safari can easily be arranged as a stand-alone safari led by this expert guide; in combination with another small-group Namibia safari; or as an add-on to a self-drive holiday around Namibia. Speak to us at Wild about Africa for the options.

Day 1 Enjoy a restful afternoon in Windhoek, the colourful capital city of Namibia.
Day 2 Transfer through arid landscapes to Wereldsend, base camp for nature conservation and rural development.
Days 3 - 6 Spend your days on this unique Namibia safari exploring the area between the often dry Hoanib river course which runs through southern Kaokoland to the Skeleton Coast, and the remote Orupembe Conservancy. The day-by-day schedule of this safari depends on Wildlife movements and climatic patterns. You put yourself in the hands of your specialist guide, Steve Braine, and let him show you an area he knows intimately. Whilst the daily safari itinerary may vary, accommodation will always be in a comfortable mobile camp set up by a competent backup crew.
Day 7 It's a long but interesting drive today taking you to Swakopmund for your last night in Namibia.
Day 8 There's a little time to relax this morning before you are transferred to Walvis Bay Airport for your flight home.
