Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek/Walvis Bay on request.

Day 1 Begin with a restful first day in Windhoek, a pretty cit with pavement cafes and craft markets.
Day 2 Transfer by road on a scenic drive through central Namibia and into Damaraland's dramatic landscapes.
Day 3 Track desert adapted rhino before travelling north to seek elephants along the captivating Hoanib River Valley.
Day 4 Travel into the Puros Conservancy and discover how the indigenous people live alongside desert wildlife.
Day 5 Follow the Hoarusib River and circumnavigate the Etendeka Mountains with dramatic scenery at every turn.
Day 6 Spend time with the fascinating Himba people, learning more of their culture and day to day lives in this harsh environment.
Day 7 Follow the course of the Gomatum River and cross the mysterious Giribis Plains to your camp near Sesfontein.
Day 8 Drive through the Skeleton Coast Park and along the Atlantic Coast to Swakopmund.
Day 9 After a last minute shop to buy souvenirs you are transferred to Walvis Bay Airport for your flight home.
