Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Nairobi in Kenya. We can assist with flights between Nairobi and Kilimanjaro Airport in Arusha on request.

Day 1 Overnight in Arusha's Mount Meru Game Lodge and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in a pretty setting.
Day 2 Begin your wildlife safari with Tarangire National Park, known for large elephant herds and immense baobab trees.
Day 3 Game drive in Lake Manyara National Park and overnight on the Rift Valley Escarpment.
Day 4 Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to reach the world renowned Serengeti National Park.
Day 5 A full-day safari with packed lunch allows you time to really explore the Serengeti, and seek out its big game.
Day 6 After a morning drive in Serengeti, you drive on to the Ngorongoro and enjoy sunset overlooking the Crater.
Day 7 Descend from your lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater rim for a full day's safari on the Crater floor.
Day 8 On your final day, drive back to Arusha in time to make your scheduled flight home.

Note: Alternatively, if you want to relax on a Tanzanian beach, head on to one of our tailor-made Expert Africa Beach extensions.
