Walking Holidays
Experiencing wilderness areas in Africa is integral to many of our safaris and adventures we offer, and there's no better way than on foot. There are nearly always opportunities to walk a little but to maximise these, we have chosen a few holidays for you to consider.
From gentle wanders to strenuous hikes, Namibia offers walking, free of dangerous game, through some of Africa's most dramatic scenery. Spend time walking amongst the tallest sand dunes in the world at Sossusvlei or marveling at ancient Bushman art at Twyfelfontein. Other walks take you along remote rivers to a traditional village or tracking desert-adapted rhino.
Most of our Botswana safaris include a morning guided walk to give you a bush experience on foot. One or two of our safaris include time on a pure walking safari where you walk between mobile camps. This is an amazing way to discover the signs and creatures often missed when travelling by vehicle.
