Summary of day-by-day itinerary
Day 1 Scheduled overnight flight from London Heathrow to Lusaka (may travel via Johannesburg on some departures).
Day 2 Fly to Mfuwe Airport where you meet your Robin Pope Safaris guide and drive through rural Zambia to Nkwali Camp.
Day 3 Heading north you'll start your walking mobile along the Mupamadzi River course through thickets, plains and woodland.
Day 4 Up at sunrise for the morning walk you search out lions, buffalos and birds whilst your expert guide explains each sighting.
Day 5 This is not a route march, each day the pace is set according to the groups needs and depending on what you see.
Day 6The walking safaris are always led by an experienced naturalist and accompanied by an armed game scout.
Day 7 The mobile camp may change location up to three times during your walking safari depending on the wildlife movements.
Day 8 You are met by a vehicle and taken to one of two great safari camps situated near the Luangwa River.
Day 9 There may be time for a final morning game drive before a flight transfer back to Lusaka to begin your journey home.
Day 10 Arrive back in the UK after an amazing and fascinating safari through one of Africa's best wildlife areas.
