Language

The Zambia Wildlife Safari is conducted in English.

Costs

This wildlife safari includes scheduled, overnight international flights to Zambia with British Airways; transport in a custom-built safari vehicle or a light aircraft; accommodation in tented safari camps; national park fees and usually three meals a day as specified in the itinerary.

Drinks

Whilst on safari in Zambia, a complimentary bar offering a good selection of beverages is included. Bottled mineral water is always available to you throughout the wildlife safari.

Luggage

The Zambia Wildlife Safari includes light aircraft transfers between Lusaka and Kafue National Park. The maximum luggage limit on these flights, and therefore the safari, is 20kg per person including reasonable camera. All luggage must be packed in soft squashable bags.

The maximum dimensions of the soft bags which can be accommodated are as follows: 25cm wide x 30cm high and 62cm long. Please keep in mind that the baggage compartments on the light aircraft are only 25cm high, so the pilots must have the ability to manipulate the bag into the compartment.

Passengers weighing 100kg or more, or two guests travelling together whose combined weight is 200kg, must please advise us of this in advance as an extra seat will have to be costed in to the package for safety reasons.

Laundry

A laundry service is offered during full days in Lufupa Tented Camp and Busanga Bush Camp - not on a moving day. The service will depend on the availability of water and on the weather. If you would like items laundered please mention this to your guide or one of the camp team. For cultural reasons we ask you not to include smalls in your laundry. Water and washing powder can be made available to you should you wish to wash these yourself.

Charging facilities

Both Lufupa Tented Camp (Days 2, 3 & 8) and Busanga Bush Camp (Days 6 & 7) offer the chance to recharge batteries. This is only possible whilst the camp generator is running which is usually whilst guests are on safari activities. Because of this, and because there are days when charging is not possible, we recommend you always carry spare batteries with you whilst on the Zambia Wildlife Safari.

Tipping

Tipping is not compulsory. If, however, you want to tip because you have received good service, we recommend a discretionary US Dollars $10 per day for your safari guide and US Dollars $5 per day in each camp's tip box which will be distributed equally amongst all the staff.

Visa requirements

Travellers on British, American, Australian and New Zealand passports do require a visa for Zambia. Visa fees for entering Zambia are currently US Dollars $50 per person for a single entry and US Dollars $80 for a multiple entry. The visa fee is payable in US Dollars cash on arrival at Zambian immigration.

Flight taxes

Please note that a charge of US Dollars $8 per person is payable on departure for internal flights in Zambia. On this wildlife safari there are two flights, totalling to an amount of US Dollars $16.
