Summary of day-by-day itinerary

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek on request.

Day 1 Spend your first night in Namibia at a comfortable guesthouse in one of Windhoek's pleasant suburbs.
Day 2 Drive through the Khomas Hochland highlands before descending to the Namib Desert to reach your scenic lodge setting.
Day 3 Early morning excursion to see towering sand dunes at Sossusvlei in best light for fantastic photographic opportunities.
Day 4 Take a spectacularly diverse safari drive across the desert to Namibia's charming coastal town of Swakopmund.
Day 5 Enjoy a boat cruise in search of the Atlantic Ocean's rich marine and bird life before a relaxing afternoon.
Day 6 Drive along the Atlantic Coast into Skeleton Coast National Park to stay at Terrace Bay.
Day 7 Delve deeper into the Skeleton Coast wilderness, into an area rarely seen by visitors.
Day 8 From your base at Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp you explore fascinating desert landscapes.
Day 9 Drive across Namibia's immense Palmwag Reserve, along river beds and past natural springs.
Day 10 Seek out and track desert-adapted wildlife, including black rhino
Day 11 A light aircraft flight takes you back to Windhoek where you arrive at your guesthouse in the afternoon.
Day 12 You have a little free time to purchase last-minute souvenirs before departing Namibia on your overnight flight home.
