Summary of day-by-day itinerary
The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls and from Maun to Johannesburg on request.
Day 1 Spend a night at the elegant Victoria Falls Hotel before your Botswana safari starts.
Day 2 Hop across the border to Chobe National Park for your first game drive which takes you to your private camp.
Day 3 Watch herds of elephant and buffalo drink from the Chobe River from a safari vehicle or a boat.
Day 4 It's a half-day game drive to Savuti through interesting wilderness areas where there are few people.
Day 5 Savuti is one of Africa's most famous big-game safari areas, especially renowned for elephant and lion.
Day 6 A game drive takes you from the dry Savuti landscapes to the lush Okavango Delta, watching wildlife along the way.
Day 7 Today's adventure takes you along wildlife routes that run beside Khwai River and around the floodplains.
Day 8 A light aircraft flight over the Okavango Delta takes you to the private Nxabega reserve and your safari camp there.
Day 9 Spend your time seeking wildlife on drives or gliding through the Delta's waterways by mokoro (dug-out canoe).
Day 10 A short flight hop takes you to Maun Airport for your flight home after your safari adventure.
