Summary of day-by-day itinerary

This private guided Exclusive Namibia Adventure is tailor-made to your particular interests, pace, travel dates and requirements. The following is a sample itinerary to give you an indication of what is possible. The trip length, highlights visited, accommodation establishments and focus of the safari can all be altered to suit you. Please speak to one of our Namibia specialists to create your own personalised adventure.

The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these. If you are travelling from somewhere other than the UK, we ask that you arrange your own international flights at least as far as Johannesburg in South Africa. We can assist with flights between Johannesburg and Windhoek on request.

Day 1 Stay at a comfortable guesthouse in Windhoek where your guide meets you to discuss your holiday.
Day 2 Drive over the escarpment, onto the Namib Desert's flat coastal plains to a well situated lodge overlooking the dunes.
Day 3 An early start allows you to be the first to see the dunefields of the Sossusvlei in the rich light of sunrise.
Day 4 Stop off by Walvis Bay lagoon to see flamingos and other water birds, then overnight in Swakopmund.
Day 5 Enjoy a morning's kayaking excursion to the seal colony at Pelican Point.
Day 6 Visit the bushman rock engravings at Twyfelfontein and overnight at Camp Kipwe.
Days 7 & 8 Use Grootberg Lodge as a base from which to seek out desert wildlife and visit a Himba community.
Days 9 & 10 Game viewing is the focus of your time in Etosha National Park, staying at Okaukuejo Camp.
Days 11 & 12 Drive slowly across Etosha Park via the salt pan on your way to the eastern side of the park.
Day 13 Travel south to the lovely Okonjima Bush Camp, home of the AfriCat Foundation.
Day 14 There's time to enjoy a last activity at Okonjima before driving to Windhoek for your final night.
Day 15 After some free time to explore Windhoek you are driven to the airport in time for your departing flight.
