Summary of day-by-day itinerary
The trip price excludes flights. Wild about Africa can arrange flights originating from the UK or within Africa on request; please ask us about these.
Day 1 Relax at the delightful Thamalakane River Lodge situated on the outskirts of Maun.
Day 2 Transfer to Moremi Game Reserve by light aircraft transfer flight over the Okavango Delta.
Day 3 Explore Xakanaxa where land and delta meet and wildlife flourishes with your knowledgeable Botswana safari guide.
Day 4 Begin each day early in the hope of spotting big cats as they hunt their prey.
Day 5 Safari drive slowly to your next camp, in northern Moremi - the Khwai region of Botswana.
Day 6 Game drive along the edge of Khwai River's vast floodplains which support a great variety of animal and bird species.
Day 7 Set out to explore the waterways by mokoro (traditional dug-out canoe), enjoy a guided walk or take a spot-lit night drive.
Day 8 A long but interesting drive takes you north from Moremi to Savuti in the Chobe National Park.
Day 9 The Savuti Channel and Marsh attracts great herds of game.
Day 10 Predators are often numerous in Savuti: lion are often sighted, whilst leopard favour the wooded areas.
Day 11 Cross the Goha sand ridge to Chobe River where you take a wildlife boat cruise before continuing to Zambia.
Day 12 Enjoy the mighty Victoria Falls at your own pace or try one of the multitudes of adventure activities on offer there.
Day 13 You will be met and transferred to Livingstone Airport in time to meet your scheduled flight home.
